David Lindsay retired at the end of 2020 after 32 years with RAND Insurance. He was invaluable as Vice President working in all lines of the Property and Casualty business.
When David started at Rand, email was a new concept. When he first got an email address and sent a message to a valued client, they responded back “Welcome to the 21st century!” Thirty years later, David has said “the most valuable lesson I’ve learned in this virtual world is the value of establishing and maintaining personal relationships. That is especially true now because, unfortunately, it has become a very impersonal business environment.”
Prior to Rand, David was in the sailmaking business with UK Sailmakers for 15 years. He attended Greenwich public schools and is a graduate of Trinity Pawling and St Lawrence University.
David will no doubt spend his retirement engaging in his favorite activities including boating, golf, sporting clays, upland bird hunting and dog training his new pup Millie. David will also dedicate more time towards his volunteer activities during retirement. He lives in the Rowayton area of Norwalk, is married to Teal Lindsay and has a daughter, Adare L. Kiely (husband Pat Kiely), and two grandchildren Spencer and Griffin.
